Frequently asked questions

Do I need a separate Shield subscription?

No. Bot protection is included with your Drux subscription — the same one that covers Search, Vizible, Canvas, and every other product. There's no separate Shield plan or checkout.

Why isn't scoring charged per request?

Real traffic volume (thousands of requests/day for even a small site) doesn't fit a per-action credit price the way a one-off task like a document run does — it would burn far more credits per day than a monthly allowance could reasonably cover. So it's bundled into the subscription instead, gated by having an active plan rather than metered call by call.

What does cost credits, then?

One-off intelligence tool lookups you run yourself — IP reputation, breach checks, domain scans — draw from your shared Drux credit wallet at 3 credits each, same wallet as everything else on the platform.

What counts as a 'request' for scoring?

Each call to the scoring API (/v1/score) — the WordPress plugin calls it once per unique IP per hour (cached), not on every page load.

Is there a free tier without a subscription?

Sign up gets you welcome credits to try the tool lookups. Live bot-request scoring on your own site requires an active Drux subscription.
